Dutch Hoover

Dewey Dutch Hoover was born on November 5, 1954 and passed away on July 19, 2018.

Dewey (Dutch) Hoover left our physical world on July 19th 2018 to be with the Lord. He passed away after a short and hard-fought battle with acute leukemia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman G. Hoover and Ladell Lee Hoover, both of Norman, Oklahoma. As a member of the third generation of Hoovers from the Norman area and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Dewey had great pride in being from and living in Norman and had a large number of friends and acquaintances developed over the years. He is survived by his two brothers, Norman G. Hoover, Jr., of Madison, Alabama and Carroll McKinley (Mac) Hoover of Morristown, Arizona, plus numerous nieces and cousins living across the country.
Dewey requested that there be no large service but he will be re- membered at a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, August 14th at 5:15 p.m. at St. Thomas More University Parish, his home parish, which is open to anyone who would like to attend. The family is asking that instead of flowers that a donation be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I am so sorry to learn of Dutch's passing.  We went to grade school together at Madison and later at NHS.  Great guy always.  He will be greatly missed.

Dutch was a plesure to be around. He had a big heart and was liked by all that knew him.
Went to Central Jr High and NHS with him.
