Ernie was an amazing guy and I still think about him after all these years. I moved to Norman in 9th grade and he was one of the first guys I met. He could really ride a bike well and taught me how to pop a wheelie. A great athlete but an even better person. He was taken from us way too soon. -David Richardson
Ernie was one special friend of mine. He and Denny Crites hung at my parents house for most of high school eating us out of bologna and cheese sandwiches. He had the most unique laugh, a wonderful singing voice. I loved him dearly and miss him often.
